On the occasion of International Day of the Girl Child ADF with the generous support of UNICEF organized an Empowerment Programme for Girls on Pakistan’s Obligation to the Girl Child as per The Convention on the Rights of the Child & Sustainable Development Goal 5.

The event was hosted at Mashal Model School, Bari Imam, Islamabad, on Wednesday 16th October between 10am to 5pm. Activities included: A Discussion on Child Rights, Girls Rights, CRC and SDG 5, a Sketch Competition & a Lie Musical Programme.

Guest Speakers included: Ms Peta-Gaye Bookall, Child Rights Officer, UNICEF Islamabad, Dr Zeba Hussain, Founder of Mashal Model School, Ms Samina Sardar, Child Rights Advisor, Plan International & CRM Member, Mr Arshad Mahmood, Child Rights Expert, Save the Children & CRM Member, Mr Sajjad Cheema, Child Rights Advisor, Save the Children & CRM Member and Ms Nazia Sabir Raja, Executive Director ADF.
