Aizan Development Foundation staff attended a 4-day training workshop on Sticks and Stones. The workshop was organized by Plan International Pakistan. The methodology of this training workshop aimed to promote and strengthen the involvement of children for their own protection. The training was based on a manual developed by Plan International as a framework to help children increase or raise awareness on their understating of Children’s Rights and Child Protection. The training also encouraged participants to be active in identifying areas of concern and prioritizing actions to improve the realization of Children’s Rights in their communities.

The training was designed as a TOT for participants and covered the following topics:

  1. Involvement of children in Protection
  2. Cycle of Protection and Participation
  3. Risk Assessment
  4. Violence against Children in Different Settings
  5. Making Child Protection Safe
  6. Introduction to Community Based Child Protection Ms

Having attended the training of Sticks & Stones, Aizan Development Foundation will now use this Manual to further train children’s groups on Child Protection issues, Self-Protection and Children’s Rights.
